Punthub

Privacy Policy

Last updated 26 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information PuntHub collects, why, and what you can do about it. We handle it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

  • Your account: your username and a scrambled (hashed) form of your password. We can't read your password.
  • What you enter: bets you log in the ledger, and codes you redeem. Your unit size and other settings stay in your browser.
  • Security records: sign-ins, failed sign-ins, sign-ups and account changes, with the IP address they came from. We use these to stop people guessing passwords and to investigate misuse.
  • Billing: your plan, its status and dates, and the reference Stripe gives your customer record. Stripe collects your card and billing details directly; we never see or store your card number.

Why we use it

To run your account and give you the service, to show your bets to you and to the members you share the ledger with, to bill you, and to keep PuntHub secure. We don't sell your information or use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers that run PuntHub for us: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database) and Stripe (payments). They may store data outside Australia, including in the United States, under their own security and privacy commitments. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Bets you log, and your username, are visible to other PuntHub members in the ledger, the leaderboard and race-card bet feeds.

Cookies

We use one essential cookie that keeps you signed in. Settings like your unit size are kept in your browser's local storage. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your account information while your account is open. Security records are kept only as long as they are useful for security, and no longer than 12 months. Stripe keeps payment records for as long as the law requires.

Your choices

  • You can change your password, or delete your account, at any time from Your account.
  • Deleting your account removes your account, the bets you logged and your subscription records from PuntHub. Any paid plan is cancelled at the same time.
  • You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it.

Complaints

If you aren't happy with how we handle a privacy complaint, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
